Mani Peninsula
The villas are a short walk from the village and the beach of Stoupa, but a short drive from the nearest mini-market. Stoupa consists of modern white buildings of low height and is located around the main beach and the port. The beach is a stunning expanse of open sand overlooking the bright gulf of Messinia. Equipped with sunbeds and umbrellas and a range of bars, cafes and restaurants, everything you need for your vacation will be right at your fingertips. Popular with families and children and with rental bikes and kayaks, the city gets a wonderful lively feel during the high season.
A further five minutes drive is the beach Kalogria, which is located in a protected cove supported by tamarisk and eucalyptus. Nestled in the beautiful golden sand, there are many beach restaurants, cafes, sun loungers and parasols, a volleyball court and water activities.
The villages of Agios Nikolaos and Agios Dimitrios are a 15-minute drive away. Each village is full of character, with charming harbours and beaches to explore.
15 minutes in the other direction you will find the historic and very picturesque village of Kardamili. The centre of the village is the main street which is full of boutique shops and a mixture of modern and traditional cafes. However, if you take a short walk on the hill behind the village you will discover the wonders of the old town, with the church, the towers and some of the most magnificent views.
For something quieter, you can walk another 10 minutes north of Stoupa to Delfinia Beach, a small cove with small grey pebbles under a lush olive grove – it is an ideal place for snorkelling, but the seabed suddenly deepens, making it slippery for young children.
